This April, Andy Olby, Bateman Groundworks SHE Manager and former Royal Anglian Regiment soldier is taking on a demanding challenge. He’s cycling solo from Land’s End to John O'Groats, following scenic cycleway across the UK to avoid main roads and extending his journey to over 1000 miles!
Starting on April 11th, 2025, Andy will cycle the length of the UK to raise funds and awareness for the Royal Anglian Charity, an organisation dedicated to supporting soldiers and their families who face hardships due to conflict, injury, or loss.
This ride is driven by Andy's commitment to honour the memory of Shaun "Robbo" Roberts, a fellow Royal Anglian who we sadly lost last year. Andy's journey across the UK—spanning 874 miles—is a tribute to Robbo and all others who have faced similar hardships.
We are proud to support Andy on this epic journey. By doing so, we continue our commitment to the well-being of those who have served our country. We encourage you to support Andy’s fundraising efforts through his JustGiving page. Every contribution helps provide essential support to those who have given so much.
Keep up with Andy’s progress through updates on our social media profiles. Let’s show our support for Andy as he pedals towards his goal.
As neighbours to Nelson’s Journey, we’ve long admired the incredible support they provide to children and young people who are facing one of life’s toughest experiences; the death of someone close.
We’re celebrating a fantastic achievement for our team - two of our apprentices have taken home top honours at the City College Norwich Apprentice Awards 2025.
