Based at our Head Office in Norwich: As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be working within our Commercial Team, reporting directly to the Commercial Director. You will have excellent commercial acumen and communication skills with experience of working in the groundworks and civils sector.
You will take the lead in providing commercial management for your designated sites. Utilise your initiative to meet critical deadlines and leverage your outstanding interpersonal skills to foster positive working relationships. These efforts are key to achieving our business targets and ensuring project success.
You will carry out comprehensive cost and value analysis, provide financial forecasts, and manage your client's requirements. You will also complete accurate site valuations and adjust contracts as necessary. A keen eye for detail and a proven track record of delivering high-quality work are essential to succeed in this position.

Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial Management: Oversee the financial and contractual performance of your sites. Use your initiative to meet deadlines and foster positive relationships to ensure business objectives are achieved.
- Financial Oversight: Conduct cost and value analysis, provide financial forecasts, and manage client expectations through accurate site valuations and contractual variations.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with clients to ensure their requirements are met and maintain effective communication across all departments to share insights and learning.
- Risk and Compliance: Identify and mitigate risks impacting health and safety, quality, customer satisfaction, and profitability. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
- Contract Management: Negotiate and confirm contractual variations, manage payment applications, and ensure the timely financial reconciliation of projects.
Qualifications:
- Essential: GCSE Maths and English, Grade C or above.
- Desirable: HNC or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or Construction.
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- Valid Driving Licence.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills.
- Excellent presentation and reporting skills.
Desirable:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the Construction or Civil Engineering sectors.
- Experience working with contractors and subcontractors.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
