SHE Manager

We seek an experienced SHE Manager to lead and manage our organisation's Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) function. Reporting directly to the Production Director, you will ensure our working practices meet the highest standards, including compliance with 45001 Safety Standards.

With a strong pipeline of projects and a commitment to safety, innovation, and sustainability, you will play a key role in shaping our SHE culture and driving continuous improvement across the business.

As the SHE Manager, you’ll collaborate with senior leaders, project teams, and clients to ensure that safety and environmental considerations are embedded in every stage of our operations. This role offers the chance to make a real impact, strategically and operationally, within a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will also have the opportunity to influence company-wide initiatives, foster a proactive safety culture, and lead the charge in promoting best practices across all our sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic direction of SHE initiatives and drive continuous improvement in our SHE management system.
  • Advise on and implement updates related to H&S legislation.
  • Investigate incidents, ensuring documentation and reporting are compliant.
  • Develop and deliver SHE communication strategies and training programs.
  • Maintain quality accreditations (SMAS, CHAS, CQMS).
  • Prepare monthly SHE reports and annual action plans.
  • Support site/project management in safety planning and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Essential: NEBOSH General, Construction & Environmental Certificates, CSCS/CPCS Site Card, Tech IOSH, SMSTS, 3-day First Aid, and others as detailed in the job description.
  • Desirable: Construction-related degree, Graduate or Chartered IOSH status (preferred).

Skills and Experience:

  • Essential: Previous SHE Management experience, excellent report writing, and proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Desirable: 5+ years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
